"In this country, Math Education is a very difficult field to navigate. The mindset to adopt is that math operations are derived from situations that one would want to change, stay the same, or delete all together. Example: we want more? then we add! Adding does not exist in real life without a situation of needing, wanting or unavoidably gaining more. Thus, the mindset should become that we present as many situations as possible to our students that they can relate to that encourage the natural use of math and then provide the academics to empower students to accurately speak about the situation, duplicate it if they want to, and engage with situations that may be less familiar to them."

Coach Toni has her bachelors in mathematics and her masters in mathematics education. She is the founder of Play.Math.Grow, a student life coaching company and its parent company: Coach Toni’s Table, a networking and connections entity. Coach Toni has been formally teaching math as a professionally certified teacher for 5 years and has been running Play.Math.Grow for 10 years. Play.Math.Grow LLC exists primarily to help bridge the gap between academic need and everyday life but also offers a wide range of services: tutoring, test prep, standardized exam prep, high school application assistance, college course guidance, student life coaching and more.
Coach Toni is also the creator of Virtual Senior Trip...during the pandemic she travels safely and solo to different states to expose students to different sites, attractions and careers LIVE. She then creates math lessons based on her trips. Recently, Coach Toni has been responsible for connecting math classrooms with medicine, banking, fitness, engineering, art, sports, and music professionals who helped color the academic journey of hundreds of students with reality.
